In 1996, the Fierro Family of Richmond established The Fierro Family IACA scholarship at Virginia Commonwealth University and the scholarship for high school seniors related to second year members of IACA, funded by member dues and donations. Similarly, in order to apply for the scholarship, applicants must have a financial need, maintain a 3.0 grade point average and must have some Italian ancestry. In addition, in 2012 we added the IACA Scholarship, intended to aid high school seniors related to second year or longer IACA members.
Applications must be made through the respective Financial Aid Offices.
In 2012 we initiated a new IACA scholarship intended for children, grandchildren or great grandchildren of any IACA member. The scholarship is available for use at any non-profit 2 or 4-year college or university. Applicants need not reside in the state of Virginia. Click here for the application.
