President’s Message:
Greetings, fellow IACA Members,
I don't believe any of us expected the cold, snowy, and icy winter we’ve been greeted with so far. Who knows, there may be more to come. Although 2026 has presented some obstacles in our path, we will persevere in planning the monthly socials and other get-togethers that make our organization a happy place.
It was with this auspicious start that we canceled the annual January Soup-R Bowl for the safety of our IACA Members. We intended to combine the February Mardi Gras and Soup-R Bowl socials on February 15th.
However, due to the lack of soup contributions, we went for the Mardi-Gras celebration only.
We had a smaller membership attendance, but all who came had a fun time and enjoyed the food offerings as well as the entertainment from Fred Corritone.
Because of the tireless and dedicated efforts of my fellow Board members, the Social was a success. I want to express my sincere gratitude and appreciation to them.
We’re planning many more Socials and other get-togethers for 2026, and it is with this in mind that I ask for your help. When the phone-tree callers contact you to ask if you will be attending or participating in a particular event, it is imperative that you respond to them as quickly as possible. This is the only way that we can determine the proper amount of food to be ordered and the required number of tables to be set up. If you don’t respond and then show up at an event, it is possible that we may not have enough food ordered to accommodate you. So please respond as soon as possible so that we can have the most successful and fun events possible.
The next social to be held at St. Michael’s will be the celebration of St. Joseph on Sunday March 8th.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation in helping make this organization a meaningful and successful one.
Best Regards,
Rick Gentile
